It's supposed to have huge maps (obviously Battlefield Series) in comparison. It looks great no doubt.

I played a round, hopped on the mic, and like 3 other guys in my squad had mics. So we we chatting, helping each other out, and it was awesome. Much fun was had. We won the round.
Next round, I get switched teams (or squads) and no one talks, it sucks.
The thing that bugs me about objective based modes like the one in the trial (gold rush I think) is that some people just try to KILL KILL KILL and not defend or attack as they should. They just keep the deathmatch mentality.

The deathmatch generation, basement dwellers and social pariah.
Anyone who works in a unit is well disciplined in understanding the importance of squad use in a tactical game. Even if its just two of you watching eachothers back. But everyone wants to be the quarterback these days.

Im completely sincere when I say this. This game is better than MW2.
The maps are huge, but split up into checkpoints you hit that bring in closer respawns eliminating the need to haul ass across a whole map unless you choose.
I played as Recon (Sniper) for the better part of 2 hours and felt completely a part of the team. I would sneak as far behind enemy lines as I could and would just terrorize them (I'd be alive for 20-30min at a time just waiting to place my shots and repositioning). Since a kill would give away my position (sort of) via live feed of me in the game for a quick couple seconds, all I would do is aim in the torso to deliver critical damage and just soften up the enemies for my team to complete the kill.
At one point Spider joined in and I saw a guy running straight at him (Im way the fuck on the other side of a huge map, they are just barely visible minus his name glowing overtop). I let a shot go and just as Spidey gets gunned down I hit the guy in the back of the head and avenge his death.

Its a pretty fun game although its a bitch playing it on a 20inch Tube TV. The bloom effect is annoying and the writing is really small making it hard for us SDTV users. I know...I do need to upgrade but it costs money :(
Oh and good game Iaacp and Armed. Its hard to talk a lot at night but its really the only time I get to play. Although days like today you might also find me on in the afternoon.

Maybe keep back the funds from a couple games and take a look at all the sweet TV deals on boxing day. Hell the 32 inch Flat Panel SONY I bought 2 years ago for 1000.00, costs 399.99 now. A good screen makes all the difference.

I had more fun playing this hands down. MW2 is a shit ton of fun, what with the upgrades and stuff, but something was not right and I couldn't put my finger on it. Now that I played BC2, I know it was the map size.
In BC2 the maps are big enough to actually fulfill a strategy, complete with flanking and everything. In MW2 everything is just a roll of the dice hoping no one is chillaxing with a machine gun in your blind spot.
MW2 is still great, but if the beta for BC2 is any indication of the full game, I'm sold.
