This previous thought of mine just became more clear after the latest events unfolded in the UK. Some terrorists attempt to bomb some planes, and the whole civilized world goes apeshit. Now if one is to ask what the goal terrorists seek, the common response would be "to kill a lot of people". While this may be true to some extent, there is an obvious answer to the question...which happens to be found in the very word "Terrorist". To terrorize is not to merely kill them, but to torture by way of physical and mental anguish. As I watched interviews with the sheep-like airline passengers, it occured to me that the terrorists met their goal long ago, when the media and governments of the world turned their attention towards them.
As the people from CNN interviewed the passengers in the hellish security lines, most responses to the newly added security rules were mind boggling. An example was this, if I am recalling correctly: REPORTER: "Miss, how did you take the news that you would have to remove all liquids and gels from your carry on luggage and come to the airport even earlier?" Lady: "Well, it's a pity that I have to throw away 400 dollars in perfume, but it's better to be safe than sorry".
Rewind a bit, to a much better time in general...pre 2001. One could arrive at the airport 20 minutes before their flight and easily make it...provided their airport isn't a busy one. People weren't treated like complete criminals en route to family vacations. The general population wasn't made to be frightened of some faceless threat that lurked in the larger world. Sadly in 2006, things aren't so great. You can't watch the news without some fear mongering involved. Cops and troops patrol airports/arenas/large cities/etc..., everyone seems suspicious of everyone. Why is this happening? Statistically speaking, you are more likely to be eaten by a crocodile than to be killed by mr. habib from pakistan. But naturally, a scared populace is a good populace...and ripe for the expansion of world governments! Yay for the NWO....
